  • The original shipper, for putting my address in all lowercase with a Sans-Serif font when my “Lot Number” was L3. People, never ever ever EVER EVER use sans-serif when trying to write out codes of sorts that can have conflicting alphanumeric symbols that can cause such confusion!
  • The delivery guy for not taking into account context. He could have noticed that it was all lowercase and seen that “i” didn’t look like “l”
  • The person who was at lot I3 for not realizing that they still had the package and that they didn’t return the package!

Fortunately the lady that was over at I3 knew that they still had it and came over about 1 hour ago and hand delivered the package.

And it only cost $20. Dang.

Where did I get it from? GoDaddy. Yes, GoDaddy. But what’s cool about this all is that they now have their own subdivision company named “StarField Technologies” so that bigger companies that want a low cost certificate but don’t want to pay the normal $200 that everybody else charges can do so and not look cheap by going with “GoDaddy”.

Just so you all know, this isn’t related to my personal blog site, but rather for the pages related to a small hosting company I run. The page is still being made there but hopefully I’ll have something soon. But in the meantime I’m using the certificate for webmail, phpMyAdmin and some other web-based administration packages.

I’m heading off to Jacksonville in the afternoon to fly out from there Thursday morning to Pittsburgh for AnthroCon. After AnthroCon I’ll be back in Philadelphia ‘burbs with my family til atleast mid-November so that I can get more work done. My employer has more work to be done right now on site rather (ie: on site network and computer support) than over the net (ie: programs and websites). So, by being by the office I’ll have more to do and get paid more and can get out of my existing debt.

I’ll be sparsely on til Monday evening or so. Til then, bye for now. PS: My cellphone bill is behind so I won’t be reachable by cell either. If you really need me, e-mail me.

And I did: I moved my personal website to WordPress. I’m now posting public blog/journal entries to my personal website and having it cross-post to my LiveJournal but I’ll have friends only entries posted only to LJ.

I’m gonna work out something to make the site look more like what I want it to as well as ingetrate the Flash section of my old site, especially considering that part gives me the most hits.
